One of my first posts this year (2018) was about My craft goals for 2018 where I shared my craft goals for the year.
As we are now half way through I thought it would be good to take a step back and assess progress so far.
So lets have a look at the goals
200 Blog Followers
So as I write this post I currently have 164 followers, and I would like to thank everyone who follows me. Your support for my crafty ramblings means a lot. 😊
500 Instagram Followers
Today my Insta followers total 691. It varies a little from week to week with the old ‘Follow then unfollow’ but I have been amazed and humbled by the amount of people who like my art work enough to follow my account.
I have written a number of times across both platforms about my evolving craft style so it really means a lot that people choose to stick with both my Blog and my Instagram account.
Stall at a craft fair
Well…regular readers will know I have been preparing for the December craft fair since I signed up in January. 😂
6 months to go and I have made quite a lot of stock, but not enough yet….I’ll keep crafting away and updating you on my progress as I go.
Open an Etsy shop
Now this one I haven’t done yet. I have a slightly different plan now but I can’t share it with you yet. Stay tuned for further developments……
Cryptic I know, but I don’t want to say anything too soon, just in case.
Sunday blog posts
On the whole I have achieved this so far, but as I wrote about a couple of weeks ago in my post Does creativity have a deadline? I have struggled over the last few weeks to create content to post about.
I will keep going as I really enjoy having my blog, and as we are only half way through the year I will re-assess later this year to see if Sundays are still working for me.
Well……If you also follow my Instagram page (Link on my blog homepage – Shameless plug) you will know that I am always practicing, especially my calligraphy and water colour painting.
I have written a number of posts over the last 6 months about my art practice and how my style is evolving with new techniques and styles being tried.
I am certainly sticking to this craft goal so far.
Well, it’s always good to take a minute to assess vs. your original goal, but to not get too bogged down if you’re not achieving them straight away. Maybe a re-assessment is required, or just cutting yourself some slack that things take time. Either way I hope you are working towards your goals too and I’ll keep you updated on how I am getting on with mine.
Thank you for reading my blog post and Happy Crafting!
