Does creativity have a deadline?

Hello there. 🙋🏻‍♀️

I’ve been quite quiet on my social media feeds over the last few weeks, especially my blog.

On my blog particularly it’s been because I just don’t know what to write about.

Of course, when that’s the case, I feel more pressure to write something, especially because I’ve set myself the challenge of posting weekly, every Sunday.

I create a lot.

During the week, if I feel inspired, I paint after work. I’m making lots of cards for the craft fair in December and as I’m making them I’m getting more and more ideas for paintings and pieces to put in frames with Calligraphy or Watercolour or both.

However, writing down all of the steps, photographing each stage and then compiling the pictures ready for a blog post is a different matter.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy doing it, I really enjoy having my blog, but sometimes I just don’t know what to write. Or should I say that I didn’t take the process pictures along the way to write a ‘how-to’ and so don’t know what to write about instead.

I wonder if it’s because I’ve set myself a deadline?

Should I write a blog post when inspiration strikes & schedule it for a Sunday?

But then what if inspiration doesn’t strike that day or week? Maybe I need to write a few posts to ‘have in the bank’ for such an occasion.

Or is it just that I am caught up in the process of making something…… enjoying the painting or card making and don’t think about taking a picture of each step.

Maybe I should change what I blog about?

On the blog this week

Rather than how-to’s maybe I should write about something else crafty? Or not?

No, I definitely want to write about my crafts. I know that for sure. I just need to figure out the best way of doing it for me and my process.

So many questions…….

Still no answers…………

I’ll keep thinking ……… watch this space to see how this evolves……. or not 😁

Thank you for reading and Happy Crafting!
