My craft fair preparations continue; handmade card manufacture is well underway and I am slowly but surely building up stocks.
I’ve even made a start on the Christmas crafts (it’s February as I write this post 😁)
As I have been making my cards I have been taking pictures and posting them to my Instagram account
A few weeks ago I wrote a post sharing my hints and tips for photo staging
As I have been photographing my card ideas I have been experimenting with various layouts and accessories;
My watercolour paint pallet, a paintbrush and good old Bert.
I’ve even thrown in a ribbon here and there too.
The purple card stock I have been using for the background can sometimes be quite dark, especially if I am photographing my cards in the evening.
So I thought I would try something different with my latest pictures.
I thought I would try a white base card stock, but I really wanted to keep the purple element as it’s ‘me’, so I added a piece of lighter purple paper under my calligraphy piece.
I also added a couple of wax seals that I had been experimenting with earlier in the day and a bit of plastic greenery I’ve bought.
I’m really pleased with how the picture has come out. I think this might be the next evolution of my social media style 😂
Cardmaking will continue as I need to make a lot of cards for the craft fair, so that the table I have booked doesn’t look bare 😬
I’m having fun making things though and I will keep posting my progress here on my blog.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post and happy crafting!
