Working on one of my 2018 craft goals – Looking for a craft fair

Hello.

At the beginning of the year I wrote out my 2018 craft goals.

One of them is to sell my handmade cards at a craft fair which creates a number of thoughts…..

Can I make enough stock?

How can I make my products look good?

Do I need insurance of some kind?

Am I overthinking this?

and the most scary one…..

Will anyone like my cards enough to buy them?

I’ve decided to write about my experiences to share my findings, I hope they will help others in navigating something new too.

So for now, before the investigations begin, I’ve started making stock 😊 (I know how to do that bit 😁)

Here are a few pictures of some of my crafty makes so far.

Have you sold any of your products at a craft fair before?

Do you have any hints or tips to share? I’d love to hear.

Thank you for reading and Happy Crafting!

  1. I’ve never sold cards at a craft fair before but I know for the big ones you do need insurance. Perhaps starting out at a local fair (maybe a school or church fair or something) would be good option. They don’t need insurance and you won’t have to make quite so much stock for a first go. And first nerve jitters won’t be so bad!

    1. Thank you Jessica, I really appreciate you taking the time to read my post and to reply. A local one is definitely a good idea, I’ll do some more digging. As far as the jitters goes I think there will be some for sure but hopefully I can find a local one & get friends & family to come along 😊
